ANNOUNCED BY TAIWANESE GOVERNMENT! Find out more!
Asia Pacific's offshore wind markets are developing rapidly, with markets in Taiwan, S. Korea, Japan, Hong Kong and China - paving the way for massive construction projects of offshore wind farms. Taiwan's development plans call for the development of a total of 4.2 GW of wind output by 2030, and the first round of governmental grants, totalling NTD 250 million (approximately USD 8.5 million) for development costs is due to be announced by January 2013.
With massive opportunities and likewise, massive challenges ahead for the markets in Asia, the Offshore Wind Development Forum 2013 is organized to speed up the exchange of information and experiences between the rest of the world and the key stakeholders in Asia. In order to foster an environment of development for offshore wind projects, key topics including policy initiatives by governments, wind farm design, supply chain and construction risks will be covered over 2 days, to ensure the successful, cost-effective completion of offshore wind projects.
The Offshore Wind Development Forum 2013 will serve as the perfect platform to develop essential discussions amongst key stakeholders including power producers, financiers, engineers, project developers, and governments.
