Robert Yie-Zu Hu Fellow ASHARE Mr Robert Yie-Zu Hu is currently the Lead Researcher (since 2006) and Deputy General Director (since 2003) of Green Energy & Environment Research Labs., Industrial Technology Research Institute. He is the representative speaker of Taiwan Wind Energy Association (TWNWEA). He have a Ph. D. in Mechanical Engineering from University of Illinois at Chicago(1989) and a M.S. in Energy Engineering from University of Illinois at Chicago (1982).Other than his role in his company, he is also involved in other professional groups (ASHRAE , CSHRAE , Association of Atmosphere Protection in Taiwan , Taiwan Ventilation Equipment Association , The Chinese Society of Mechanical Engineers and The Chinese Institute of Engineers). Wei-Hsien LuSenior Engineer Mr Wei-Hsien Lu is currently the Senior Engineer of Green Energy & Environment Research Labs., Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI). He has a M.S. degree in Naval Architecture and Offshore Engineering (1994) and received Ph. D. candidate in Civil and Environmental Engineering (1998) from University of California at Berkeley. Since joining ITRI in 2000, Mr. Lu has been responsible for assisting the government to promote wind energy utilization in Taiwan, including onshore demonstration projects, wind measurement & resource assessment, and the Offshore Demonstration Incentive Program. Jong Hoon LeeOffshore Wind Power Principal Researcher, Technology Transfer AgentKOREA INSTITUTION OF ENERGY TECHNOLOGY EVALUATION AND PLANNING (KETEP) Mr Jong-hoon Lee is a Principal Researcher at KETEP (Korea institute of Energy Technology Evaluation and Planning). He has a BA and MS Degree in Electronics engineering at Chungnam National University, Korea and a Ph.D in Management of Technology at Yonsei University, Korea . Mr Lee was also involved in the R&D planning and management of Renewable Energy R&D Program supported by the Government. He was also part of the planning committee of “South-Western Sea 2.5GW Offshore Wind Farm Project” of Korea. Ming-Chang Wu Manager of Technical Service Mr. Ming-Chang Wu is currently Manager of Technical Service for Bureau Veritas, Taiwan. He received a Bachelor degree in Naval Architecture from National Taiwan University and a Master degree in Naval Architecture and Offshore Engineering from University of California at Berkeley. He joined Bureau Veritas, Taiwan in 1993, as a marine surveyor and auditor for quality system. From 2001 to 2003, he was assigned to BV Head Office at Paris for structural analysis for offshore floating units. Since 2003, he had been assigned to BV China, BV Korea, and BV Philippines for varied managerial and technical positions. He was re-assigned to BV Taiwan from 2008. Working on board level, his experience is in areas of project development, operations, strategic management consulting, M&A and financial management throughout the offshore wind value chain. Marwind Group has further expertise in business development, facilitating investments and transactions, innovation, and provides technical and other advisory functions in areas of installation, operations and maintenance of offshore wind projects. Marwind’s scope has broadened to other renewable energy sectors.
